Welcome to our home on the Internet. I bid you very hearty greetings from the students, faculty and staff in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. As you navigate through these pages, you will find that UNL Civil Engineering is a strong and vibrant program with a solid academic foundation and a strong tradition of undergraduate and graduate education, research and service to the state, the nation and the civil engineering profession.  Our vision is to be a collegial and diverse organization, widely recognized as the most respected department in the Mid-Western United States, for its contributions to improve the civil infrastructure, and economic welfare of Nebraska and the nation, through research, education and service.

Our home is physically located in Nebraska Hall on the University of Nebraska campus in Lincoln and in the Peter Kiewit Institute in Omaha. We invite you to stop in and visit us. We would be elated to show you our classrooms, laboratories, and test facilities and introduce you to the ever growing campuses of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

The Civil Engineering Program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is fully Accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). The Civil Engineering Program is offered in Lincoln and Omaha. Faculty members are located on both campuses.
